五、研究領域
植物生殖和單倍體誘導機理研究
人類利用的主要是植物生殖的成果——種子和果實,因此植物生殖調控機理是高效農業的重要理論基礎。單倍體的産生機理是植物生殖研究的重要方向之一。單倍體誘導技術是種業的共性瓶頸問題,單倍體誘導系成功開發将革命性的變革相關作物的育種程序。團隊一方面利用植物中的果蠅——拟南芥,深入研究植物生殖和單倍體誘導機理,在該模式生物中相繼解決了單倍體誘導效率和單倍體誘導系育性等核心問題。另一方面,将利用模式生物中的研究發現,在重要作物特别是熱帶特色作物中開發單倍體誘導系,加快熱帶特色作物育種進程,服務熱帶高效農業。此外,研究過程中開發的技術體系可以高效輔助構建熱帶雜種作物完美基因組,促進熱帶作物重要農藝性狀的遺傳解析。
